高考英語(yǔ)詞匯：ahead的用法

　　1. 是副詞，不要把它誤認(rèn)為是名詞：
　　正：There’s danger ahead. 前面有危險(xiǎn)。
　　誤：There’s danger in [at] ahead.
　　2. 主要用作狀語(yǔ)，有時(shí)也用作后置定語(yǔ)或表語(yǔ)：
　　The road aheadwas full of sheep. 前面的路上全是羊。
　　Our team is ahead by three runs. 我們隊(duì)領(lǐng)先3分。
　　3. 用于 ahead of, 注意以下用法：
　　(1) 指時(shí)間或空間的“在…之前”：
　　He is always ahead of theage. 他總是走在時(shí)代的前面。
　　He left one day ahead of me. 他比我早走一天。
　　Ahead of us is a river. 我們前面是一條河。
　　(2) 表示“比…強(qiáng) (高)” (主要用作表語(yǔ))：
　　He’s ahead of me inEnglish. 他的英語(yǔ)比我強(qiáng)。
　　He is two classes ahead of me. 他比我高兩班。
　　(3) 用于 ahead of time, 意為“提前”或“提早”：
　　The work was done ahead of time. 工作提前完成了。
　　He didn’t want go thereahead of time. 他不想提前去那兒。
　　有時(shí)用于 ahead of schedule：
　　He finished his job ahead ofschedule. 他提前完成了工作。
　　4. 用于 go ahead, 注意以下用法：
　　(1) 表示同意或允許，意為“說(shuō)吧”、“做吧”：
　　A：May I start?我可以開(kāi)始了嗎? 
　　B：Yes, go ahead. 好，開(kāi)始吧。
　　A：Will you do mea favour? 請(qǐng)你幫個(gè)忙好嗎? 
　　B：Go ahead. 說(shuō)吧。
　　A：Do you mindif I smoke? 我抽煙你介意嗎?
　　B：No, go ahead. 不介意，你抽吧。
　　(2) 表示繼續(xù)做某事，意為“繼續(xù)…吧”：
　　Go ahead, we are alllistening. 繼續(xù)講吧，我們都在聽(tīng)呢! 
　　A：Don’t interrupt me whenI am explaining the problems to you. 我在給你們解釋這些問(wèn)題時(shí)，請(qǐng)不要打斷的話(huà)。
　　B：All right, go ahead. 好，說(shuō)下去吧。
