2014高考英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)解讀:What do you know
1. 表示驚奇(尤其表示愉快的驚奇，常與 Well連用)，意為：啊，真的嗎? 真沒(méi)想到! 如：
A：I’m leaving for Japan tomrrow. 我明天要去日本。
B：Well, what do you know? 啊，真的嗎?
A：Bill tells me that he’s getting married to Janenext month. 比爾告訴我他下個(gè)月就要同簡(jiǎn)結(jié)婚了。
B：Well, what do you know! They’ve kept it verydark, the pair of them. 啊，真沒(méi)想到! 他們一直保密著，真是天生的一對(duì)!
2. 用來(lái)引出一個(gè)有趣的或意外的話題，意為：你沒(méi)想到吧!真是沒(méi)想到! 如：
He doesn’t know the language, and what do you know?He has the nerve to translate. 他不懂這種語(yǔ)言，可真是想不到，他居然有膽子去翻譯。
And what do you know, my dear, you know thatinteresting looking man? I’ve found who he is. 親愛的，你沒(méi)想到吧，你認(rèn)識(shí)那個(gè)樣子很有趣的人嗎? 我已知道他是誰(shuí)了。
有時(shí)也說(shuō)成 What do you know about that? 如：
What do you know about that? He’s late again. 真是沒(méi)想到，他又遲到了。
3. 有時(shí)用于問(wèn)候語(yǔ)，意為：有什么新聞? 有什么消息? 如：
A：Hi，what do you know? 嗨，有什么新聞?
B：Oh，nothing much. 哦，沒(méi)什么
