接受索賠（Acceptance of Claims）
句型１：to accept （entertain） a claim 接受索賠
例：我們遺憾地得知你方關(guān)于貨物質(zhì)量的意見，并準(zhǔn)備接受索賠要求。
We are sorry to learn of your complaints about the quality of the goods and are prepared to accept your claim.
句型２：in settlement of 解決
例１。經(jīng)調(diào)查此事，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)由于包裝時(shí)箱號搞錯(cuò)而確實(shí)出現(xiàn)差錯(cuò)，現(xiàn)已安排立即運(yùn)送替換貨品以解決你方索賠要求。
On going into the matter we find that a mistake was indeed made in the packing through a confusion of numbers， and we have arranged for the replacement goods to be dispatched to you at once in settlement of your claim.
例２。雖然出貨樣與手邊之原樣相同，但我們?nèi)栽敢庾鞒鲎尣�，減價(jià)１０％以解決此爭端。
Though we find no difference between the shipping sample and the original sample in our hands， we will meet you half way by offering a discount of 10% in settlement of the dispute.
句型３。to be liable for…對負(fù)責(zé)
例：根據(jù)合同規(guī)定，我方對貨物的損壞不負(fù)有責(zé)任，但是由于和你方的長期貿(mào)易關(guān)系，我們愿給２％的額外折扣。
According to the contract stipulations， we are not liable for the damage. But in view of our long business relation with you， we agree to the extra 2% discount on this occasion.
�。�。拒絕索賠（Rejection of Claims）
句型１。to be without foundation 沒有根據(jù)
例：很遺憾我們不能受理你方索賠，它沒有任何根據(jù)。
We regret we cannot entertain your claim， which is without any foundation.
句型２。to refer sth. to sb. 提交某人處理某事
例１。由于此批貨已辦理保險(xiǎn)，你可以將此事提交保險(xiǎn)公司或其在你地的代理人處理。
As the goods have been insured， you may refer the matter to the insurance company or their agents at your end.
例２。由于輪船公司對貨物的損壞負(fù)責(zé)，我們的意見是你方應(yīng)將索賠提交他們處理。
As the shipping company is liable for the damage， your claim， in our opinion， should be referred to them for settlement.
句型３：to repudiate one‘s liability for sth. 拒絕對某事負(fù)責(zé)
例：由于缺乏證據(jù)，我們拒絕對你方索賠負(fù)責(zé)。
We must repudiate our liability for the claim on account of lack of evidence.
句型4.to settle by arbitration 通過仲裁來解決
例：這是我們所能做到的最大讓步。如你方不同意接受我方建議，我們將通過仲裁來解決。
This is the maximum concession we can afford. Should you not agree to accept our proposal， we would like to settle by arbitration.
