Inspired by the last debate, the 7th and 8th graders find that they are really into debating. On this past Wednesday, the Basic English program saw itself in the midst of another hot debate: whether the school should fail students of a particular course if/once they are found cheating. To get more prepared and to win the debate, both sides searched the internet to find related data and discussed passionately on the topic. Both sides initiated high quality questions and thought carefully about what questions they might encounter and how to respond. Throughout the debate, the students realized that cheating is definitely not allowed in school. Honesty is the most fundamental principle and they should study hard and be sincere with their grades. Students found that they were speaking English more confidently. Let’s clap for them!

　　受到上周辯論賽的啟發(fā)，七八年級同學們發(fā)現(xiàn)自己對英語辯論興趣濃厚。本周三，基礎英語項目展開了一場關于考試作弊學校處罰方案的辯論賽。為了更充分準備并且贏得本場比賽，辯論雙方都查找了很多數(shù)據(jù)和資料;他們用數(shù)據(jù)支撐論點，并且熱烈地討論對方可能提出的質疑以及應對措施。通過本次辯論，同學們更加深刻的意識到考試作弊是不允許發(fā)生的，誠實守信是最基本的準則，應該通過自己的努力取得好成績。孩子們慢慢發(fā)現(xiàn)自己英語表達觀點越來越自信，讓我們?yōu)樗麄児恼瓢?
