到兩個(gè)常用語：make a u-ey 和step on it.

    LL： Uh ， Li Hua ， I think we are going the wrong way. I think we
need to make a u-ey.

    LH：什么，我們走錯(cuò)路了啦？要make a u-ey ，那是什么意思�。�

    LL： To make a u-ey is to take a u-turn. U-ey - U-EY. I think you
can make a u-ey up at the light ahead

    LH：往回開是對(duì)的。但是，Larry ，你沒看見在燈前面有不讓調(diào)頭的牌子嘛！

    LH：是啊，這里明明寫著" 不許調(diào)頭".

    LH：方向是對(duì)了，可是你千萬不要大意，我可不想再u-ey了。

    LL： Uh ……Li Hua， I have some bad news.

    LH：什么，又有什么壞消息？

    LL： I think we passed the street we need to turn down again. I'm
afraid we'll be making another u-ey after all ！

    LH：你說什么？我們又錯(cuò)過了該轉(zhuǎn)的路口？天啊，我們又得找地方調(diào)頭了。

    LH： Step on it ？你要踩什么？

    LL： Step-STEP， step on the gas pedal. We need to hurry up and make
this car go faster.

    LH：噢，step on it就是踩油門！我們是有點(diǎn)兒晚了，可是我不想 "step on
it."

Just go a little faster.

    LH：我可以踩油門，再開快一點(diǎn)。不過安全也很重要呦！

what the police officer wants.

    LH： Larry，都是你叫我step on it，你還有心思開玩笑？我把車停在路邊，
讓我下車看看警察怎么說。

    （Sound of street and talking ）

    LL： What did the police say？ Did he give you a ticket ？

    LH：我以為警察肯定會(huì)給我罰票。其實(shí)呀，警察覺得我們好象迷路了，問我
要不要幫忙。Larry ，幸虧我沒有加速。不然我們就就慘了。

    LL： That's great ， but now we are even later than before. Let's
step on it！

    LH：還要讓我step on it！你真是瘋啦？

    今天李華學(xué)到了兩個(gè)常用語。一個(gè)是make a u-ey ，意思是開車的時(shí)候調(diào)頭
往回開。李華學(xué)到的另一個(gè)常用語是step on it，意思是踩油門，加快速度。
