There is a growing tendency nowadays that people in mounting numbers show great enthusiasm for (對…顯示出極大地?zé)崆?/span>)volunteer works. They are willing to do voluntary work in many fields varying from offering services in sports events to keeping passengers in line at the bus station and so forth.
Ample reasons can account for this phenomenon. In the first place, with the development of people’s living standard，people should not necessarily be busy （不必要忙于）earning money to support their families.（養(yǎng)家） Instead, they can make better use of their spare time （更好地利用時間）by do something valuable and helpful to others, such as being a volunteer. In the second place, influenced by（受到影響） the education campaign launched by Chinese governments, Chinese people’s awareness of being a volunteer has been greatly enhanced. Last but not least, doing volunteer work is also a source of happiness and gratification （幸福感和滿足感的來源）for most people.
Being a volunteer is anything but （絕不是）an easy job. It is required that those who want to be a volunteer should possess a strong desire to help others and serve the society. It is unimaginable that （難以想象）those who lack love and a sense of responsibility can bring happiness to others and contribute to society. (196 words)
